About Us

Santa Lucia Guest House is a family-owned and operated guest house in St Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. For more than three decades we have welcomed guests with friendly, personalised service and a relaxed, stress-free stay.

Our award-winning guest house combines the comforts of home with warm South African hospitality. The property is set in a peaceful subtropical garden filled with large shady trees and abundant birdlife. Guests can relax beside the swimming pool and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Our central location makes exploring St Lucia easy. Restaurants and shops are only 100 metres away, while the main gate of iSimangaliso Wetland Park is approximately 3 kilometres from the guest house, and the beach a short 2km away.

St Lucia is situated on Zululand’s Elephant Coast, between the Indian Ocean and the Lake St Lucia Estuary. It is the gateway to iSimangaliso Wetland Park, South Africa’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the only town located within a Natural World Heritage Site.

Previously known as the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, iSimangaliso is one of South Africa’s most remarkable natural destinations. Its name means “miracle” or “marvel” in isiZulu. The protected area includes lakes, wetlands, beaches, coral reefs, woodlands, coastal forests and diverse wildlife.

Whether you are visiting St Lucia for a safari, birdwatching, the beaches or the natural beauty of iSimangaliso Wetland Park, the Santa Lucia team looks forward to making you feel at home.

Since day one, our goal has been simple: make your stay uncomplicated, easy, and stress free.
